Jodi Burns is a senior analyst
within Celent Communications’ securities and investments practice in the
firm’s New York office. Ms. Burns’ expertise lies in ECNs, electronic
equities trading, and capital market structures.
She has been widely
quoted in the mainstream press including USA
Today, Financial Times, New York Newsday, and CBS
MarketWatch as well as the industry trades including Wall
Street & Technology, Financial News, Securities Industry News and
Trading Technology Week.
Before joining Celent,
Ms. Burns was a senior business associate for the NASDAQ
Stock Market. In this role, she devised pricing schedules, conducted
profitability estimates, and forecasted trading volumes for new trading
platforms. In addition, she managed customer relationships with
institutional and retail trading firms, other stock exchanges, and the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Ms. Burns was also a
research analyst within NASDAQ's Economic Research Department, where she
conducted research in economic policy and equity market structure for the
purpose of strategic planning and policy initiatives.
Prior to NASDAQ, Ms.
Burns was a market research analyst for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
At PWC, she assisted the firm’s partners in enhancing their business
development initiatives by providing financial analysis and market
positioning research on companies and industries in the U.S. mid-Atlantic
region.
Ms. Burns received her
MBA from Harvard Business School and her BS from Cornell University.
